Today a Macon Pastor is facing time behind bars, after a federal jury found him guilty of 54 charges. Those charges range from bank fraud to money laundering.

Pastor Onslow D. Ross of Reaching Souls Cathedral of Praise Apostolic Church illegally used the church's insurance check.

In 2005, the church received a check for $389,000 after the roof collapsed. According to testimony, Ross put the money into a construction account. Through a series of transactions, he then used the money for personal expenses and gave some to relatives.

Prosecutors argued that Ross did not have the authority to deposit the check in the first place.

"It should have gone to CBT to pay back the mortgage because they held the mortgage on the property and the mortgage exceeded $389,000," explained Assitant United States Attorney George Christian.

Ross is currently out on bond pending his sentencing hearing, that will take place in 60 to 90 days. At that time, the defense may seek to appeal.
