	Arizona Man Sues Hartford Archdiocese for Alleged Abuse by Priest Newday February 7, 2008 http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/connecticut/ny-bc-ct--churchabuse0207feb07,0,1367201.story NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Hartford archdiocese is being sued again for alleged sexual abuse by a priest, this time by an Arizona man. Edward Cerninka claims he was sexually abused in the 1970s by the Rev. Louis Paturzo, a priest who worked with Hartford troubled youth until the first accusations against him surfaced in 2002. Cerninka was a seventh-grade student at The Reverend Daniel Barry Junior High School in Hamden when he says he was molested by the priest. Paturzo admitted to sex abuse claims made by two other men and was stripped of his priestly authority. The archdiocese paid out $22 million in 2005 to settle claims against 14 of its priests, including Paturzo. There is no Hartford phone listing for Paturzo.
