Un passo che a don Sante, il prete innamorato di Monterosso, potrebbe far rischiare a sua volta la scomunica. Il vescovo di Padova mons. Antonio Mattiazzo lo ha infatti sospeso a divinis imponendo all'ex parroco - che ha avuto un figlio dalla compagna, con la quale oggi vive - di astenersi da tutte le funzioni sacerdotali. Don Sante ieri si è presentato puntualmente all'appuntamento con Milingo, che è ospite insieme alla moglie coreana Maria Sung dell'associazione "Gesù è amore" di Grisignano. Proprio i seguaci dell'associazione, più alcuni curiosi, hanno assistito alla messa celebrata dai due preti ribelli, che durante la preghiera hanno ricordato il vescovo Mattiazzo. Milingo, che ha praticato anche l'unzione dei malati, è convinto che don Sante non possa essere scomunicato: «Solo Dio può darla» ha affermato. Mentre don Sante ha scelto il silenzio. alla domanda se pensa di aver compiuto un altro passo sulla strada della scomunica, l'ex parroco di Monterosso si è limitato a dire: «Sono qui». Con la celebrazione di ieri si chiude il tour in Italia di monsignor Milingo, che nei prossimi giorni volerà in Corea del Sud, Paese di cui è originaria la consorte. [translation] ABANO TERME. Sante Sguotti, former parish priest of Monterosso suspended "a divinis", celebrated Mass together and gave the Eucharist to about one hundred faithful gathered in a hotel at Grisignano di Zocco (Vicenza). A step which could also make the Rev. Sante, the priest-in-love of Monterosso, risk the excommunication. The bishop of Padua, monsignor Antonio Mattiazzo did in fact suspend him "a divinis", imposing the former parish priest – who had a son from his companion he is living with – to abstain from all priestly functions. Yesterday the Rev. Sante was punctual at the appointment with Milingo, who had been a guest with his Korean wife of the association "Gesu' e' amore" (Jesus is love) at Grisignano. Just the members of that association, in addition to some curious people, assisted to the Mass celebrated by the two rebel priests, saying prayers in favor of bishop Mattiazzo, too. Milingo, who also gave the unction to sick people, is convinced that the Rev. Sante can't be excommunicated: " Only God can do that" he affirmed. At the same time the Rev. Sante chose to be silent. To the question if he thought to have made a further step on the way to excommunication, the former parish priest of Monterosso limited himself to saying: "Here I am". With yesterday's celebration the tour of Italy by monsignor Milingo will end. In the next days he'll fly to South Corea, his wife's country of origin.
