	Californian Woman Suing Church over Abuse by Irish Former Priest Belfast Telegraph December 20, 2007 http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/breaking-news/ireland/article3266815.ece A woman is suing a Catholic diocese in the US, claiming she was molested by a former priest from Ireland. The unnamed 43-year-old alleges that Oliver O'Grady who was defrocked and deported for sexual abuse, abused her when she was a child attending a parish in northern California. Oliver O'Grady has admitted to abusing at least 25 children and has cost the Diocese of Stockton millions of dollars in settlements of civil sexual-abuse lawsuits. He was deported to Ireland in 2001 after a seven-year jail term for molesting two brothers. But O'Grady has reportedly gone missing. Lawyers representing two victims who filed civil suits in Ireland claiming he abused them even before he moved to California can't find him to serve him with court papers. O'Grady has moved twice since 2001 and is not listed on Ireland's sex offenders register.
