Roba da brivido freddo lungo la schiena, quello che ha provato il destinatario del macabro "messaggio", don Sante Sguotti, il prete ribelle di Monterosso che aveva confessato pubblicamente il proprio amore per una donna, di essere il padre del bambino e che abita con la compagna a Lovertino, frazione di Albettone. Don Sante ieri mattina alle sette e uscito, destinazione la ditta per cui lavora come camionista, a poca distanza da casa. Si e arrestato subito quando ha notato la cassetta delle lettere mezza aperta. Appoggiato sullo sportello quell'animale stecchito. «Di minacce ne ho gia ricevute... » ha detto con voce calma il sacerdote sospeso a divinis, «alcune anche davvero pesanti». E anche quel gatto nella cassetta delle lettere non lo ha lasciato indifferente. Cosi ha chiamato il 112. Sono intervenuti i carabinieri di Campiglia dei Berici, ai quali non e restato che "repertare" il gatto: «Inevitabilmente verra fatta una segnalazione alla Procura - ha detto un militare della stazione - e faremo delle indagini». La cosa non sembra essere considerata di particolare gravita dagli investigatori: insomma, si guarda a quel povero gatto morto ammazzato (forse un colpo secco al collo, non presentava ferite) davanti a casa di don Sante come al gesto di cattivo gusto di qualche scriteriato. Ma son Sante non la pensa proprio cosi: «La scena mi ha lasciato male, devo ammetterlo - ha detto -. Intanto perche chi ha fatto questo deve essere innanzitutto una persona crudele, perche ha ammazzato un animale. E poi per la mia particolare situazione. Sapevo, quando ho fatto la mia scelta, che sarebbero potute accadere cose sgradevoli, poi quando succedono fatti cosi ci si resta davvero molto male. Quando ho visto quell'animale morto, la prima tentazione e stata di buttarlo nel campo, perche la gente non vedesse. Ma poi ho pensato che era meglio lasciare tutto li e chiamare i carabinieri. Nei prossimi giorni faro denuncia. Non mi fermo per questo». ABANO: THE ANIMAL HAS BEEN PUT IN THE MAIL BOX OF HIS HOME IN LOVERTINO A dead cat in front of Rev. Sante's home at Albettone It's not usual to find a dead cat in the mail box. Something to make him shiver along the spine must have been the feeling of the receiver of the macabre "message," Rev. It seemed the carabinieri didn't take that episode as being very grave: they looked at the killing of the cat (perhaps with one big blow on its neck for no wounds could be seen) in front of Rev. Sante's home like the gesture of some mentally disabled individual. But that interpretation is not shared by Rev. Sante: '"That scene made me sick, I must admit it," he said."First of all because who did that must be a very cruel person, because he killed an animal. Then there is to consider my particular situation. I knew when I made my choice that bad things could have happened, but what has just happened hurts me very much. When I saw that dead animal my first reaction was to hide it in a field, so that people wouldn't notice. Then I thought it was better not to do that and call the carabinieri. In the next days I'll present my denunciation to the judge. I won't give up."
