	Priest Found Guilty of Child Sex Abuse Macarthur Advertiser December 7, 2007 http://campbelltown.yourguide.com.au/news/national/crime/priest-found-guilty-of-child-sex-abuse/1100597.html A CATHOLIC priest accused of sexually abusing a 12-year- old boy was yesterday found guilty in the Launceston Supreme Court. Gregory Laurence Ferguson, 70, was convicted on one count of maintaining a sexual relationship with a young person under the age of 17. During the week-long trial, the court was told of seven separate instances of alleged abuse which took place while Ferguson was was a teacher at Marist College in Burnie between 1970 and 1971. Ferguson had pleaded not guilty to the charge and categorically denied the allegations. Several witnesses took the stand in the course of the trial. He will be sentenced in the Launceston Supreme Court at 10am today.
