	Court Citation Dropped against OC Bishop KNX November 28, 2007 http://www.knx1070.com/Court-Citation-Dropped-against-OC-Bishop/1263618 LOS ANGELES — A contempt of court citation against the Roman Catholic bishop of Orange County has been dropped, according to lawyers for the plaintiffs in a $7 million sexual abuse lawsuit. Attorneys for the four alleged victims asked for the citation after Bishop Tod Brown sent a church official and potential witness to Canada for unspecified medical treatment, rendering them unavailable to testify in any potential trial. The diocese says the plaintiffs and the diocese finalized the settlement on November 20th which included the dismissal of the citation. The dismissal was announced in a statement by the Diocese of Orange and confirmed by the plaintiffs' attorney.
