The Catholic Diocese of Covington is responding to a lawsuit filed by the family of a sexual abuse victim.
Jeni Dinkel is serving a 60 day sentence for her sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy.

The lawsuit names her, her husband, the principal of Covington Catholic High School, the Park Hills Police Chief and the Diocese itself as defendants.
The suit claims they knew what was going on but did nothing about it.
On Thursday, the Diocese released this statement:
"We believe that the Diocese and school complied fully with their legal obligations to report suspected child abuse."
