	Federal Grand Jury Indicts Former Pastor on Child Pornography Charges Steven Haney Already Faces State Sex Assault Charges By Lawrence Buser Commercial Appeal October 16, 2007 http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2007/oct/16/federal-grand-jury-indicts-former-pastor-child-por/ A former Cordova church pastor already facing state charges of sexually assaulting a teenage boy during a five-year relationship was indicted today on federal child pornography charges. Steven C. Haney, 47, former head of Walnut Grove Baptist Church at 8801 Walnut Grove Road, is accused of enticing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing pictures. The federal charge carries a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison. Haney, who was pastor there for 20 years before stepping down last November, also is charged with possession of child pornography. The youth, now 21, testified this summer that Haney coaxed him into a sexual relationship in 2001 when he was 15 by telling him it was a test of faith and by rewarding him with paying jobs at the church
