(AP) - Prosecutors in Manchester (New Hampshire) have dropped sexual assault charges against a visiting Nigerian priest after the first day of his trial. The charges were dropped Wednesday for 40-year-old John Lawani, who was based at St. George Church. His lawyer, John Kacavas, said the first day of testimony ended as he was questioning the accuser. Then, Hillsborough County Attorney Marguerite Wageling dropped the charges. Wageling said cases like Lawani's are very traumatic and difficult for victims to testify about.
