	Maitland-Newcastle Opens New Healing Facility Catholic News September 4, 2007 http://www.cathnews.com/news/709/13.php Australia — The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle today opens a new facility for healing individuals and communities affected by sexual abuse within the church. Zimmerman House will be named after its patron, Josephite Sister Beverly Zimmerman. It will house the Diocesan Child Protection and Professional Conduct Unit. The unit's manager Helen Keevers said: "Many would argue that you can never completely heal from abuse." But she added that she believes in "the importance of walking with survivors of abuse and offering them whatever support [is possible]". She also underlined the importance of all members of the church community working together to provide appropriate healing for those affected by abuse.
