	Priest on Child Sex Charges Going Back 30 Years Herald Sun August 28, 2007 http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,22321908-662,00.html A SYDNEY priest has been charged with a string of child sex offences dating back more than 30 years. NSW police spokesperson Tony Tamplin said that the 52-year-old former primary school teacher has been under investigation since September 2003. The eastern suburbs priest was arrested in relation to assaults on a number of Year Five students at a Daceycille Primary school in 1974. The offences are historical by nature and consistent with legislation enforceable at the time, Tamplin said. He was today arrested and charged with 21 counts of indecent assault. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Waverly Local Court on September 18.
