Bishop Won't Be Charged in Heated Dispute By Steve Cichon WBEN August 20, 2007 http://www.wben.com/news/fullstory.php?newsid=08179 Mayville, NY (WBEN) - The Chautauqua County District Attorney says there was nothing criminal in nature after an investigation into a heated discussion between Bishop Edward Kmiec and a church member in Dunkirk. William Parks claimed Bishop Kmiec thumped him on the chest during a heated conversation. District Attorney David Foley says five witnesses were interviewed, only one said there may have been contact between the two. The Catholic Diocese released a statemetn saying the investigation shows what the bishop has maintained all along, and put it behind them.
