(AP) - A pastor at a Kirkland church has been indicted after police say he touched a 7-year-old girl. That's according to Oneida County Court records. The Reverend William Procanick, 53, is due to be arraigned August 7th on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from an incident that prosecutors say occurred at his home in March. Procanick is the pastor at Resurrection Assembly of God in Kirkland He is currently free on $5,000 bail, but it is unclear whether he is still serving as the churchÂ's pastor. Prosecutors could not immediately be reached. ProcanickÂ's attorney, George Aney, says that his client denies any "impermissible touching" whatsoever. Kirkland is 39 miles east of Syracuse. |
