Former Priest Faces More Charges By Web Staff News 10 Now July 12, 2007 http://news10now.com/content/top_stories/default.asp?ArID=112311 Syracuse, N.Y. — A former priest convicted of sex abuse in Syracuse could face new charges in Delaware. A new law in Delaware abolishes a two-year statute of limitations on personal injury lawsuits for victims of child sex abuse. Last month, Francis DeLuca pleaded guilty to abusing a Syracuse teen. He faces up to two years in prison for that conviction. Now, a lawyer in Wilmington, Delaware is expected to file a civil lawsuit today on behalf of an alleged victim there. DeLuca served in the Diocese of Wilmington for 35 years. |
