Ralph Flodin was fired from the Strafford County jail May 13, the day county officials learned of the investigation. He has been indicted on nine felony counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. Each charge carries a maximum 20-year prison term. Prosecutors allege the assaults happened during a nine-month period, and began a month after Flodin was hired by the jail in July 2006. Flodin volunteered at the county jail and New Hampshire State Prison for more than 20 years before he was hired as the Strafford County jail chaplain. |
