A Priest gave a convicted child rapist cash so he could groom a girl of 11 for sex, a court heard yesterday.

Father Jerry McGrath, 62, allegedly gave William Adams, 38, thousands of pounds to buy gifts and clothes.
Adams repeatedly raped the girl on a Blackpool holiday paid for with the cash, Liverpool Crown Court heard.
Catholic McGrath — who was wealthy through shares and gambling — was said to know of Adams's previous conviction and the nature of his relationship with the girl.
McGrath, of Rosslea, Northern Ireland, denies facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and one sex assault on the girl. Adams, of Liverpool, admits rape.
• THOMAS Street, 60, got six years' jail in Manchester yesterday for 18 indecent assaults on boys. An earlier attack was "hushed up" by a Catholic priest.
