	Ex-Altar Boy Sues over Abuse Irish Independent May 13, 2007 http://www.unison.ie/irish_independent/stories.php3?ca=9&si=1828544&issue_id=15616 A Former altar boy is suing the Archbishop of Birmingham for £100,000 (€140,000) as a result of alleged sexual abuse by a Co Meath priest. It is alleged that Fr Christopher Clonan, who was born in Clonard and who died in Australia in 1998 while on the run from police, sexually assaulted the man, who is now 33, on occasions too numerous to chronicle when he was a teen. The former altar boy attended schools affiliated to Christ the King Church, Coventry where Clonan was assistant PP.
