	Ex-Priest Charged with 1970s Rape ABC [Australia] May 8, 2007 http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200705/s1917705.htm A retired Victorian Catholic priest has been charged with the rape and indecent assault of a girl 30 years ago. Adelrick D'Cruz, 77, is facing 13 charges over incidents in the 1960s and 70s. Police allege he assaulted an eight-year-old girl and then raped and assaulted the same girl when she was 17. D'Cruz was the assistant priest at Yarrawonga's Sacred Heart Church in the late 1970s in the state's north. He has also worked in parishes in Bendigo, Benalla, Corryong and Cohuna. He did not appear at the Shepparton Magistrates Court today because of medical reasons. The case will be heard next month.
