The Boston archdiocese says sexual abuse accusations against the Reverend Thomas Curran have been found to be unsubstantiated.

Curran was placed on administrative leave after an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor was made against him in August 2002. He was the pastor of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson at the time.

A second accusation was made against the priest in March 2004.

A statement released by the archdiocese today says the canonical process determined that both complaints were unsubstantiated.

Curran's status has now been changed from administrative leave to permanent disability. But the archdiocese says his ministry will be restricted to sacramental celebrations with his own family.
