	Priest Charged over Child Offence BBC News [United Kingdom] February 16, 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/6368683.stm A parish priest has been charged with the attempted rape of a child. Father John Herve, vicar at St Agatha's church in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, has also been charged with five counts of indecent assault on a person under 14. He also faces a charge of indecent assault on a person under 16. The charges relate to incidents going back to the 1990s. Fr Herve, a Church of England priest, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on 22 February.
