	Naming of Pedophile Priests Won't Quell Legislative Action Associated Press, carried on WMDT [Dover DE] December 10, 2006 http://www.wmdt.com/wires/displaystory.asp?id=56506587 State lawmakers say more needs to be done for victims of child sexual abuse. They plan to pursue action when the General Assembly reconvenes next month to allow victims more time to file civil lawsuits against their alleged abusers. Currently, the statute of limitations stands at two years. State Representative Greg Lavelle says that needs to be fixed. A sticking point is whether the law will apply retroactively -- something the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington opposes. The diocese recently released the names of 20 suspected pedophile priests and dedicated the Advent season to victims of clergy sexual abuse.
