	Moscow Pastor May Withdraw Pleas in Cal. Sex Crimes Case Times-News December 8, 2006 http://www.magicvalley.com/articles/2006/12/08/ap-state-id/d8ls53l81.txt Moscow, Idaho - A former Latah County church pastor who earlier this year pleaded guilty to two-decade-old charges of child sexual abuse in a Ventura, California, district court has hired a new attorney and may withdraw his plea. William Malgren had been pastor for four years of the New Hope Baptist Church in Moscow, after the abuse incidents that police say allegedly occurred starting in the early 1980s. Malgren pleaded guilty on October 18 in California to two counts of lewd acts with a child under 14 and two counts of lewd acts with a child under 16 that police say happened on separate occasions in 1983 and 1989. Mueve Fox, a senior district attorney for Ventura County, it's difficult to retract a plea in California. Malgren will have to prove he was misinformed or misled before making his plea.
