First-aider Daniel M____, 21, groped the youngster during treatment for a leg injury he got playing football last December. The boy later told his mum who spoke to medical friends. They confirmed M____'s treatment methods were wrong. M____, of Cumbernauld, near Glasgow, last month admitted the attack on the Glasgow secondary school pupil. Glasgow Sheriff Court heard yesterday that a psychiatrist deemed M____ at "moderate" risk of re-offending. But sheriff Nigel Ross said prison would not address M____'s "underlying issues". M____ was also ordered to do 200 hours' community service and banned from working with children. He earlier resigned from St Andrew's College in Bearsden, near Glasgow, where he was training for the priesthood.
