Pastor Turns Himself into Police Associated Press, carried in KTVA [Anchorage AK] November 16, 2006 http://ktva.com/alaska/ci_4671381 A long-time Anchorage pastor has turned himself into police and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. Fifty-year-old Dwight Donald Greene of Calvary Chapel of Anchorage was wanted on a felony warrant. Police had been looking for him for two days. Greene is facing four counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor after a 15-year-old girl accused the pastor of fondling her. But Greene's lawyer, Steve Wells, says the girl is lying and his client never should have been jailed. Wells says Greene was not hiding, but was waiting to see what would happen with a motion to kill his arrest warrant. Police detective Dawn Neer said police believe there may be other victims. Greene has been the assistant girls softball coach at Bartlett High School for the past three years. |
