Notes:
- In the early 18th Century Fr. Eusebio Kino, S.J., and his fellow missionaries ventured into what is now Arizona.
- On December 8, 1849, Jesuit Fathers Michael Accolti and John Nobili arrived in San Francisco, California from the Oregon territory.
- In 1909, the California Province of the Society of Jesus was officially incorporated. It was previously a mission of the Turin Province.
- Today, California Province encompasses missions in the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah.
