FORMER Workington priest Gregory Carroll, jailed last year for the abuse of boys, may face new charges.
A file has been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service after a former Workington man came forward in January and claimed Carroll had abused him in the town when he was between eight and 10 years old.
Carroll was at Our Lady and St Michael’s RC Church in the town between 1987 and 2001.
Carroll was convicted of abusing boys at Ampleforth School in Yorkshire in the late 1970s.
Cumbria police have interviewed the man, who now lives in the Home Counties, and Carroll.
