A former priest and head chaplain of Calvert Hall College High School has pleaded guilty to one count of child abuse.
Jerome Toohey, 59, of Lutherville, entered the plea Nov. 8 in Baltimore County Circuit Court. He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Toohey originally was charged with 10 counts of child abuse in connection with sexual abuse of a former student at the Towson high school in the late 1980s.
Usually the names of victims of sex abuse are withheld from publication.
