News of a church tribunal for suspended Baraboo pastor Fr. Gerald Vosen is a good sign that his case is moving forward after more than a year, St. Joseph's parish priest Fr. Larry Bakke said Friday.

The private tribunal of the Catholic Church will be held in Madison for Vosen and Kenneth Klubertanz, two priests accused of sexual misconduct.

Diocese of Madison spokesman Bill Brophy said recently that a "canonical trial" would be held on the charges against the men.

Bishop Robert Morlino removed Vosen from his post as pastor of St. Joseph's Church in Baraboo in February of 2004.
