Four men filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Seattle Archdiocese, accusing church leaders of failing to protect minors from former Spokane priest Patrick O'Donnell when the priest served at Seattle's St. Paul Church from 1976-78.

O'Donnell, who was removed from ministry in the mid-1980s and has admitted to molesting at least 30 boys, was sent by the Spokane bishop to Seattle in 1976 for sexual-deviancy treatment after an allegation arose in Spokane. Leaders of the Spokane Diocese have contended that the Seattle Archdiocese and St. Paul Church were fully informed of O'Donnell's history at the time he was sent to Seattle.
