The Albany Catholic Diocese said that it is in full compliance with the Church'sAbuse Tracker Program to Protect children.
Bishop Howard Hubbard said a report by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops showed that the Albany Diocese has made substantial progress in the area of clergy sex abuse.
It cited the use of auditors to evaluate its progress and training seminars in how to recognize signs of sexual abuse in children. Background checks are now done on employees hired by the Diocese.
