NORCROSS -- -- The senior pastor at Faith Life Christian Church in Norcross returned to the pulpit today -- his first Sunday before the congregation since his arrest on child molestation charges.
Enthusiastic churchgoers welcomed Nathan Clement Ridgeway back with a standing ovation.
"I shall continue to declare both publicly and privately my innocence," Ridgeway said amid the clapping coming from the pews. "God knows my heart."
Ridgeway, 57 of Duluth, is accused of molesting his 3-year-old grandson. Ridgeway was arrested Jan. 25, and charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of aggravated child molestation. Police say the incident took place at Ridgeway's home.
